
On this day in 1988, Loyola Marymount University won its first-ever NCAA tournament game with a 119-115 win over Wyoming. LMU’s Bo Kimble (29 points) and Hank Gathers (12 rebounds) led the Lions in the highest-scoring game in NCAA tournament history.
Spooky Gulch Canyon
Past the Coyote Gulch in southern Utah and down Hole-in-the-Rock road lies the aptly titled Spooky Gulch. The slot canyon is thirty feet deep and in most places is only fifteen inches wide. Those brave souls who attempt the eerie walk most often do so sideways.
